What I am doing:

Splitscreen Studios GmbH

Splitscreen Studios GmbH

In early 2008, I co-founded Splitscreen Studios GmbH, which has developed a very powerful framework to build 3rd generation 3D browser games. The framework enables us to create high quality titles in no time like our first reference title, a science-fiction MMORPG called Pirate Galaxy which has won the “Deutsche Entwicklerpreis 2009″ and “Browsergame of the Year 2009″ in the categories Action and Presentation. The next games are already in development, stay tuned!

What I have done

Sofatronic GmbH

Sofatronic

From October 2007 to the end of the year, I worked at sofatronic GmbH which is specialized in the High Definition media sector (Bluray and HD-Dvd). Sofatronic is developing a Framework for interactive multimedia content on Bluray Discs, that is integrated into the eclipse IDE. I was responsible for developing new framework modules that are integrated into the framework as eclipse plugins.

Bigpoint GmbH

Bigpoint

Starting from October 2006 I began to work at the e-sport GmbH which later became Bigpoint GmbH as a Senior Java Developer. I was responsible for developing both, Front- and Backend Modules like for example an extremly performant and flexible particle system, a GUI system and several server applications in different games.

Elkware GmbH

Elkware

In February 2004 I started to work at the elkware GmbH. Caused by the rapidly growing number of mobile handsets, it became necessary to separate game development from game porting. 2 colleagues and I where responsible for establishing a porting-department. Its aim was to adjust a game to a maximum number of handsets in a minimum amount of time. I ported many different games, among others GemJam, Anno1503 and also 3D games like 3DGolf.
Furthermore I have created several preinstalled games for Siemens mobile like Photopet on the Siemens C65 and Photopet Christmas for Siemens C72.
I also developed my final thesis at elkware GmbH after it became Infospace Inc. in January 2005. Its subject was a porting process optimization that uses a hierarchical tree structure of the mobile handset groups to reduce the number of portings needed. I implement this system into the existing J2EE b2b system.
